    Ripped is basically the formation of two different groups of players. Jeff Kelly and Jack France were weaving in and out of bands together and separately for quite some time. In between gigs (Jeff with Joe Mystery, Gordon Gaines and Nitelife - Jack with the likes of Mad John and Grand Canyon). They've worked together with Gunter Ford and The World. Meanwhile - Steve Keller, Brian McGee and Steve Sroczynski were childhood friends from the Kearny (New Jersey) Rock and Roll Scene. Everybody seemed to be in and out of each others bands at one time or another and all of the bands shared gigs with the dream of blowing each other off of the various stages. SlaughterHouse (with Steve Sro as the front man) were the first to gather any real attention. SlaughterHouse released 2 albums under the Metal Blade / Warner Brothers banner. After some years of inactivity Sroczynski eventually moved on to play in the band "Gnome Dust" who wound up sharing a few gigs with the by then re-formed Ripped. Can you See where this is going? Sroczynski wound up in the studio for a guest vocal on the Ripped album and "Gnome Dust" just happened to become inactive at the same time. The guest spot just naturally developed into a permanent slot. The rest of the story hasn't happened yet.
