Hello to all!! Since the birth of The Riptide Movement in early 06 music fans have caught them all over Ireland and the U.k with relentless gigging and appearances virtually everywhere!
In 08 They began work on their debut album with Legendary producer Tony Colton of Heads hands and feet, Rory Gallagher, The Doors, Ray Charles. The album boasts guest appearances from Reese Wynam of Stevie Ray Vaughan, and is published by Martin Wyatt of Bright Music Publisher/Management to Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones, The Faces.
May 09 saw the release of this "Stellar line up" album "What about the tip jars?" which recieved rave reviews and enjoyed 3 weeks at the top 30 neck of the charts peaking "Impressively" at number 16! it is Tower records best selling album which outsold Bob Dylan, U2, Bell X1 Depeche Mode and many more.
Since then the band have gone on to sell close to 5,000 albums with constant gigs, radio sessions and constant hard work!
The band are currently touring the single "Alive Inside" which is enjoying being number 13 in the official Irish charts and number 2 in the physical Irish charts. The only single in the top 15 neck of the Irish charts not X factor related. This in an X factor extravaganza is Truely remarkable!!!!
The band are to release "Bringing down the house" nationwide on 11th Dec 09 ..tour the single and travel to the south of France to begin work on the eagerly anticapated follow up album and for tour commitments.

FRANK GUTCH - REVIEW BY RENOWNED AMERICAN MUSIC JOURNALIST!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You have to go to Ireland to hear about these guys, but I doubt that will be the case shortly. They're somewhat new on the scene and gained some press buzz by having Tony Colton of 70s rockers Heads Hands & Feet produce their new album, What About the Tip Jars? While most of us in the States don't recognize the name, in the UK, Colton's name is revered. While The Riptide Movement's music is rough edged and immediate, their sound recalls another golden era in UK rock which has been somewhat swept under the rug until recently--- the early 70s--- when names like Taste and Help Yourself and English Gypsy and Byzantium gathered small but loyal followings. Just listen to the guitar and its in-your-living-room sound and the straight-into-the-mike-minus-sound-chamber voice. To these ears, and from what I understand to those of many of the Irish youth's, it is downright refreshing"
