Rising Dust rose from the ashes of famous act Dark White(R.I.P), one of the first french doom band ever, created in 1992, and witch released a demo called "soft and relentless" around 1993 and a MCD entitled "enter the funeral kingdom" in 1995.
The band was built up in 2002 by former Dark White guitar David, now assuming the role of lead singer in addition to his guitar duties. The rhythmic section is made of Steff ( who also used to play in Dark White for the second period ) on bass and Malek on drums.
In the begining of 2003, the first Demo (don't burn the witch / ride with the dragon) see the light!
In 2004, the band played at the frontline (belgium) with Mirror of Deception and signed with Final Chapter Records to record the first album called "1",with 7 Witching Doom tracks.
There will then follow a tour supporting the legendary Place of Skulls and Pale Divine through Europ and the biggest Doom Metal festivals, the Doom Shall Rise (Germany) with The Gates of Slumber , etc...and the
Belgium Doom Night (Belgium) with CountRaven, etc....
...Back in France they play with Electric Wizard,
, etc.. and the Doooom over The World fest at the Locomotive with Esoteric, Ataraxie and many others bands.
At the first Long Live Metal Fest they met Laurent and Nath from Emanes Metal Records, and signed for the vinyl edition of "1", limited to 500 copies.
Then Malek had to leave the band and was replaced by Mehdi.With this new line up we recorded 4 new tracks in one MCD "Taste of Fire"and available in lp limited to 500 copies on Emanesmetalrecords. Well... just now we have a new second guitar player, Julien "Rour", we played with him for a great gig at the "Dawn of Doom fest 2" with Grief, Lord Vicar and many others great doom metal bands. RISING DUST is alive!! for all headbangers, rockers, heavy and doomers, see you at our next gigs!!!!
It's a long and hard way to play doom and rock'n'roll, (we) keep the faith, stay heavy and loud.

Quintet originaire de Stockholm, pratiquant comme tout bon Suédois qui se respecte, un rock'n'roll hi-energy qui prend sa source dans le hard des années 70, Paperback Freud est bien plus qu'une révélation, c'est un futur classique !
La presse ne s'y trompe pas et leur album sera disque du mois dans le magazine "Rock Hard" de décembre et tous ceux qui ont pu les voir et les entendre sont unanimes, ce groupe ira très loin.
Comme si les Hellacopters jammaient avec les Datsuns et Airbourne pour sonner comme Motörhead, Thin Lizzy et AC/DC !!!
Les Suédois seront en France pour 3 dates au mois de décembre, ne les manquez pas lors de leur passage à La Boule Noire le jeudi 17 décembre 2009, la claque assurée ! Be there or be square !
Voila déjà 5 ans que l'illustre guitariste, Darell Dimebag (Pantera, Rebel Meets Rebel, Damage Plan) nous a quitté. Et pour lui rendre hommage Inwë organise la 1er édition du DIME DAY. Quatre groupes se succèderont sur scène pour offrir un belle hommage avec de nombreuse reprise.
Doom will never die, DOOMRAISER too! As one door closes, another opens. Valerio has decided to leave the band; he wants to concentrate more on his other projects. We all wish Valerio the best of luck with his new vocation. He was, and remains, a formidable guitarist and was an integral part of DOOMRAISER.
However, it is with great pleasure that DOOMRAISER announce that Valerio’s replacement is to be none other than our good friend and brother, the fearsomely talented musician Willer. He played bass with evil blacksters Grimness and he’s involved in Black Land, an awesome and obscure heavy psychedelic band from Rome. Practices have been going very well, and Willer is already adding a new, acid and exciting dimension to the band as a whole. His first gig will be at Sinister Noise Club in Rome on the 21th November: a special and drunken night celebrating the birthday of one of the most important Italian underground rock scene club!
