RisingSide is an acoustic band out of Minneapolis, Minnesota consisting of Katie Lundberg (Guitar/Vocals), Tony Portwood (Lead Guitar) and now we have the pleasure of playing with Ryan Worthman (Drums) and Dan Olmschenk (Bass). Working the grind of the Minneapolis music scene, we aspire to live our dreams. While not only continuing to play and promote our music, we are currently working on a side project entitled "The Doors: An Acoustic Rock Opera" - An audio and visual experience based on an original story by Katie Lundberg. We hope to have a large production release of the finished project. Supported and encouraged by our friends and family we've decided to make a name for ourselves in the local music community. Come out and have a listen when you have the chance. Nothing is more important to us than making music for you. Music is life - it's all around us.^_^
Blood Root Mother will be playing at Trocaderos in Minneapolis on Friday, June 26th. I cannot stress enough how awesome this show will be!! We're playing with three of the sweetest local rock bands: Claret, Niobium and Casanatra. If you haven't heard these guys, check them out immediately! Please come to this show!!
I recommend stopping by during happy hour for two for one drinks along with free buffet, which is delicious. We'll be hanging out at Trocs all night, so come by and chill/party with us :)
