Rising Sounds Management was created in late 2007, by Chris Banks. Chris has been working with bands as booking and management for over 9 years. Our objective is to continue searching for signed and unsigned musical artists to work with, and once found, support and guide the artist musically, developing their talents in the best way possible. This can be from arranging live performances, to getting media coverage and managing royalties. This we hope will allow the artist to concentrate on their music. Many areas of the music industry continuously cross over and one sector easily leads into another. For this reason RSM is committed to giving advice and guidance in a range of industry sections, however our managing skills remain fundamental to the company. Industry knowledge is vital to insure the right decisions are made on behalf of the artist.
Within RSM, we aim to guide and support an artist within the music industry, using our knowledge of the business in the best way possible. We are open to a wide range of musical genres and are always happy to listen to a mixed variety of music, however we do recieve alot of demo's and just like Record Companies, we cannot reply to all. Please be assured that we listen to everything that comes through us. Our intentions are to help an artists career to develop further, yet in such a competitive industry we have to insure we represent the right artists that will benefit both parties involved.
The success of an artist will always remain the bottom line for both artist, and manager. Based in Morgantown, WV we have excellent connections with various industry organizations. With connections in Morgantown itself, it was decided to base the company here, but remain open to artists who are based anywhere in the world. The intention of RSM is to represent an artist in the way that both the artist in question and ourselves feel is best. Our main aim is to manage our artist's on the most professional of grounds, guiding their music to a bigger and more importantly - correct audience. We use any method we feel is best to provide our artists with help and support and to maximize their profile.
The music business continues to be a fast moving, massively promotional industry with hundreds of Record, Publishing and Media companies competing. As artist management, we represent an act on a business level so the artist can concentrate musically.
Why do you need management?
Managers are the backbone to any successful band. You may not need a record label to release a record but without a good manager it's a really hard climb up the ladder of success. A manager will provide you with the tools, opportunities and expert advice needed to maximize your chance of making it...
