Oil and water. Fire and ice. Melody and chaos. Some things are just not supposed to mix. But when Minneapolis, MN band Risk The Gallows takes the stage, all of that goes out the window. Mixing chaotic, frenetic lines, brutal breakdowns, and beautiful, ambient melodies, Risk The Gallows is doing something unique with the overly cookie cutter screamo/post-hardcore genre.
Risk The Gallows formed in the fall of 2006 with members of many respected local Mineapolis punk, emo and hardcore bands including Five Small Worlds, The RedLined Diary, .theburningseason., Tripl3 Thr3at, Unconditioned, and The Dying Dreamers Society. These five men are a unified entity with the one goal of spreading hope and light in a dark world. Risk the Gallows is poised to stir up the local music scene in Minnesota with their blend of raw energy and emotion and a live show that will captivate you.
Having already shared the stage with national bands Chasing Victory, Burden Of A Day, Alesana, A Day To Remember, Endwell, and Bless The Fall, and many up and coming local bands including Write This Down, Venia, The Fragile Campaign and others, Risk The Gallows is quickly making a name for themselves in Minneapolis and beyond. With recording in the works and playing as many shows as possible, Risk The Gallows is bringing their energy and integrity to a stage near you. Some things are not supposed to mix. Bittersweet Street is seeking a vocalist. We need someone that can learn songs on short notice. We have shows coming up, That means lots of practicing to do.
