To friends, browsers, surfers, scrapheads, spammers, trolls and other patrons: This is my music project. Although its all under my own name, many people helped me to create this stuff, most notably, Chewie (2wenty2welve) Yoni (X-masafari) and Dan (Birthday Inferno) all on the top of my "friends" list. Do yourself a favor and check them out.
All of these songs are from my still-nameless upcoming album, to be released by Chewie's production company, 2wenty2welve Industries, later this year. All final mixing and mastering was done by Andris Balins at DryHill studios. The album is a continuous 63 minutes, with each track leading into the next, and I guess that these tracks might sound better in context. For a copy of the complete album, or just to give me some feedback, email me at RiteSedJed@gmail.com.
None of these songs were made with so-called "professional" equipment, but each one was crafted from, as my friend No-uh would put it, the musical equivalent of paper clips and rubber-bands. A pox on all you snotty Pro Tools users, and your expensive bullshit. I don't have ten grand to spend on putting out an album, so fuck you and your "industry standards."
I just set up a new page with still-under-construction tracks and a few collaborations, go check it out at www.myspace.com/cantankerousflanks.
Notice that all songs on both pages are available to download for free. I also did a remix for the popular eyeball records band, Baumer, which you can check out by clicking the banner below. Oh yeah, and if you can find it, pick up the new issue of HEEB magazine, which features a cover by R. Crumb, and reviews by none other than yours truly. *** Haven't updated in a while, but there are some new songs up now, and I have moved from NYC to Portland, OR.
Thanks for listening to my music.
