Robert Rivera, eclectic classical cellist and award-winning composer, recently won an award for best film score with Ben Geddy at the Arizona Independent Film Festival.
Robert studied at the Manhattan School of Music, Mannes College of Music, the Longy School of Music, the Boston Conservatory, and the Moscow Conservatory in Moscow, Russia. Robert has played extensively in the US and Europe, working in genres as diverse as classical, jazz, and improvisational music. The Boston Globe said, "Robert Rivera is a rush." (2001).
Clarinetist Todd Brunel is a critically acclaimed advocate of new and improvised music, who enjoys a dual career as a cross-over jazz and classical musician. He has premiered works by numerous composers and performed as a guest artist at such venues as Carnegie Hall and Preservation Jazz Hall in New Orleans.
Years of musical explorations have brought them to this point. Still experimenting, still seeking an alternative to the ineffectual ties of convention, they remain committed to an objective of truth. Working in an improvisational tapestry of sound, diatonic, chromatic and microtonal elements converge. At times, electronics are fused into the equation and what is left is a stunning cross-genre musical portrait.
