When famous documentary maker Joss Whedon took his film crew aboard the Firefly class ship Serenity we had no idea what sort of adventures he would bring us. The reality-based, documentary style show brought us nine very different lives that were constantly twisting and turning with and against each other. And what a group it was. River and the Reavers is the musical group of River Tam, an ass kicking, psychic, slightly deranged teenage girl currently on the lam from the Alliance. Sure, playing gigs on outer rim and core planets may not be the smartest thing for someone in her position but River likes to keep life exciting. Stocking her band with those fun-loving cannibalistic madmen called Reavers, River makes sure that they are properly fed and chained before a performance. Like her friend, registered companion Inara Serra, she can only get bookings wherever her captain takes her. Unlike Inara's career choice, Captain Malcolm Reynolds is in full favor of River's singing career as he calls it "just plain fun". Going further saying, "Once she killed her whole band as the finale. It was a mite of hilarity. Then the feds showed up and we had to boogie, double time." River's music runs the gamut of emotions felt by the troubled teen. One might find themsleves choked up listening to the haunting ballads while River's psychic side comes out in such tunes as "Don't Ask Me Twice" where she sings about the joys and pains of being a mind reader as exhibited through such lines as "Jayne, you make me even more insane. Don't complain, I can kill you with my brain." Her intricate blend of passion and insanity is often referred to by her fans (self proclaimed "Riverites") as River Rock. But the true grit of the girl comes out in the live shows where River lets it all go usually beating up several audience members in the process. All in all River and the Reavers is the most ass kicking fun the 'verse has to offer.

Well, we finally put up the new video with SNL actor Bill Chott and "Honkey" from MTV's Spring Break (see the blog). And we have absolutely no explaination for our actions!! WARNING: If you are squeamish, DO NOT watch this video. But if you appreciate goofy and gross humor, have a blast. (Sick people are HI-LARIOUS!) We have no freakin' idea what made us do this.
