Perhaps if you sank a punk in the Missipi River and gave him some Penny Royal Tea, if you told him to sell his soul to the devil to play guitar and then got him to listen to Chet Baker and Robert Cray after which you took him for ride with Bod Dylan and Johnny Cash and asked him to read Whitman and Oscar Wilde before watching "Singles" on D.V.D in his one-room flat in the centre of Sodomic Barcelona, He would describe the sound better than words.
it all happened in 2006 when after proposing some songs written by gabriel and pablo, antonio and rodrigo were invited to play along and excel their many musical virtues to form what would later be riverbound. The members of the proyect came from a long road of musical proyects which drove through all kinds of music genres from Pop to Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Rock, Soul, Funk, Punk, etc. The objective of the guys was to from a band with good tunes and finely crafted musicianship which expressed the feelings and thoughts of the post-grunge generation, a group of people in between two periods, two worlds and two ideas of understanding music and art. The result were songs from the heart worked to the finest detail to produce a unique sound and a will to improve and go forth along the entwining paths of musical development and economic survival. Riverbound is a name that came from three concepts of the same word, 1. Direction river, 2. Embraced by the river, 3. The river must happen. These concepts are the Band's declaration of intent.
