This is the page where the band usually bestows their unified, passionate vision upon you, Faithful Listener, with an epic history of its members. But in truth, with a couple of exceptions, we have been as consistently inconsistent with our contributing players as with our stylistic approach. To call the Rivercity Seven a band in the truest sense of the word would be a misnomer. Each album has been a musical cooperative of Austin players, usually crammed into a shoebox apartment on the railroad tracks, affectionately named, Whirling Fern Studios. But these modest surroundings have yielded some of the most inspired recording sessions I have yet put to tape. And the self-renewing influx of players has always stoked the creative fire for me. This stretch down the path being no exception. On Sidewinder Stitches Time, myself along with John McClane on guitar and Frank Kammerdiener on bass and cello, longtime idealists to the cause, have turned the musical screw once again to include David Speer on piano, Mark Power and Kyle Bengtson on lead guitar. All of them salty dogs of the sound waves and good lads to boot. Sven Jurgensen on drums sends greetings to his homeland of Sweden and urgently requests more strudel be sent. After several years of doing this, I’m beginning to understand how musically fertile the soil of Austin really is. It’s an immune reaction of the mind to the mundane to take for granted the diversity of talented players you can meet everyday. Some of them living just down the stairs. .... .. .. .. .. .. ......»-(¯`v´¯)-».... ..Design your MySpace with MyLook.. ....«-(¯`v´¯)-«......

Nice going on the Mucho Machismo cover. You were really showing some sac there, Froman.

Really cool. Excellent layers and of course the musicianship is top notch and creative. The lyrics have your signature humor/philosophy bent and hint at a profound significance lurking just under the surface of the tune.

Surrealistically extruded pompadours, proto-Southern rock, and the Red Army Choir singing backup. Blame Finland for this one.
