Through many various genres of music throughout the ages, DNA (aka Da Nemesis Attraction) has experimented with everything from reggae to punk, heavy metal to grunge, and finally settled on hip-hop at the turn of the second millenium. In summer 2000, DNA (then named simply Nemesis) met up with Colmes & Monark while living in Fredericton, who already had their start compiling lyricism and verbal skill. Colmes took DNA in and showed him the basics, and let him develop and rise from there, which he surely did. Within the next two years, DNA met several other local hip-hop heads in Fredericton, among them Juliano and Symphintry. At the time, Symph was dawgs with Monark and the two were partners in rhyme, both members of the group known as Ill Logic. Juliano started producing a bit and making beats, which DNA needed a LOT of due to his constant writing. It wasn't long before DNA wanted to know how to make beats too, and he began a producing spree a mile long over the next few years (www.myspace.com/dnizzleproductizzles).
After writing, producing and recording 2 low-quality amateur solo releases, it was imperative that the next album would have to be much more professional; that very project, after almost 3 full years, is still very much in the works. "The One", DNA's debut solo album which is scheduled to release early 2008, contains production by co-producers DNA & Juliano; guest appearances include Monark, Phakt, KNOwledge, Mick D, M!racle and more. From live broadcasted radio appearances on Fredericton's 95.7 'The Beat' and CBC Radio, to random visits to Wile Out Wednesdays (RIP) at The Capital, and a string of live performances all over New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, DNA has been putting in work - and its about time for that work to pay off.
