"Riverhead spin out a dreamy, unique, rolling mix of blues; trip-hop beats; slide guitar; melodic synth and solid songwriting, falling somewhere between Depeche Mode and Massive Attack holed up at a mom n'pop in Louisiana."

Forming in 1999 and shying away from the live music scene for a little over a year, Riverhead allowed their sound to coalesce into a style all their own. In 2001 they kicked off their memorable live performance at the Dark Arts Festival. Though atypical for the gothic scene, they were asked back for the 2002 and 2003 fesitivals and were featured on a nationally distributed compilation album with their song "Deep Blue River".
Since then, Riverhead has played numerous shows in the Salt Lake City area. Highlights include sold out shows at the Hard Rock Cafe, opening for Faith and Disease at Area 51, a benefit concert for the March of Dimes, and pairing up with local bands at venues such as Urban Lounge, Sanctuary, Club @, Gravity, Todd's Bar and Grill, Bourbon Street, and The Crazy Goat. Their song "Fastlane" has been played on local radio and tracks such as "Whitebeat" and "Deep Blue River" have had repeated club exposure. With a live performance that is soulful and engaging Riverhead is not a band to be missed.
