The Riverview Ramblers play a variety of tunes ranging from bluegrass to newgrass and a few things inbetween. Check out their debut CD!
It really began in the Adirondack Mountains a few years back when Bill and Gene hammered out "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" for the first time around a raucous campfire. There's nothing quite like the sound of acoustic guitar and banjo under a clear night sky amid the pines and hardwoods surrounding Lake George. Thus began the Riverview Ramblers... so named because at one point they all lived in some proximity to Riverview Road, overlooking the Mohawk River in upstate New York (near Albany, Schenectady, Troy).
The Riverview Ramblers perform traditional bluegrass, newgrass, originals, and recognizable covers. Their high energy shows feature vocal harmonies, blistering solos, and enough variety to please audience members of all ages. They have steadily built an excellent local following and have appeared regularly at noted venues such as The Van Dyck (legendary jazz club) and at the Freedom Park Summer Concert Series. This is accessible bluegrass music... full of warmth, spontaneity, and camaraderie!
