About me: The Riveters are a women's baseball team in Chicago. We play in the Chicago Women's Baseball League. World War II icon Rosie the Riveter is the inspiration for our team name. During the war, Rosie both encouraged and represented women who entered the "male" world of the defense industries. The baseball Riveters continue Rosie's legacy by encouraging other women to step on the "male" world of the baseball diamond and going out there ourselves and showing that "we can do it!"
