Riya is hindu for Singer.
Riya has a background in music; having worked as a session singer from the age of 13, played 3 instruments, and worked with gospel choirs.
Riya enjoys songwriting, and the tracks Riya has written melodies/lyrics for have been supported by some of the scenes most respected players: D Bridge, Instra:mental, Spectrasoul, Goldie, Fabio, Bailey, Marcus Intalex, Friction, Andy C, Doc Scott, Total Science, SPY, Lenzman, and Bryan Gee...All at the grand old age of 24.
Riya writes not only for Drum and Bass producers, but is also part of a soul band, and works with House/ Electro House producers. Music is a huge passion for Riya, and so her taste knows no boundaries.
Riya has gigged over DJ sets in America, Asia, and Europe, and will be featuring more in the UK in 2010.

Lenzman ft. Riya - Open Page, has been tipped as one of the best vocal dnb tunes to be made in a long time, and has received so much support. Open Page has had over 7,500 views on youtube and is rising in number every day. The official music video for this track will be released shortly and the vinyl release is due for release on Metalheadz early 2010.
Total Science & SPY ft. Riya - Testimony - is also one of the firm favourites in drum and bass music currently. Testimony was played on Bailey's BBC 1Xtra's show for 12 consecutive weeks. Promos are out to buy now.
