Exhibiting a free exploration of original rock with a variety of underpinnings,
Rizer proudly hails from the North Metro Atlanta area.
Rizer is a most unlikely fellowship of men who happen to be very good musicians. Nick Washburn guitarist/singer/songwriter and founding member, was lead vocals for 3 of the band's studio projects including 2008 12-song effort Temporary Medication, recently gave up the lead vox spot to firebrand Adam Dipenti. In Nick's own words, "Rizer has the same deep commitment as any other original rock band, we write about what we believe in." The addition of gritty lead vocalist Adam Dipenti and a keyboard player, rounds out this radio friendly rock outfit and sets a new tone for the band. Founding member Troy Winston on 6-string bass inspires a routine gaggle of instant fans at his command of the fret board and marching stage antics. The band's awesome chemistry has Troy using his bass to essentially be a second guitarist. Super talented keyboardists are so often-unsung Keith Denmon, has sat in on keys for Edgar Winter and the like, also spent some time on bass with Rizer.
Rizer played showcases in 2008 and 2009 during the GMA conference in Nashville. The members of Rizer consider the band a ministry effort allowing them to sow the seeds of their faith. The band was previously known as Nurtured In Purple, a 3-piece power trio. NIP had hit songs on Internet radio (CMRADIO.NET) and opened for Kings X and Jack Russell (Great White) on local tickets. Rizer is concentrating on writing new material and looking for the breaks.

As for me really being blessed exercising a servant heart by being active in my church's parking and intercessory prayer ministry. My Church of course is Flamingo Road Church and my campus is Hallandale Beach, Pastor Chris Brown. When are you coming to Florida? I am planning on being here for awhile probably past 2009. God is good and always on time with his grace, mercy and love! -"T.E. " Acts 6:3-7
