Riz Ortolani is one of the best Italian composers to ever live. His music has inspired many other composers and filmmakers. He has done tons of scores for a variety of films including giallo, exploitation, spaghetti westerns, and mondo. Ortolani was actually nominated for an Oscar for his score 'More' which appeared in the film Mondo Cane. Although his music is among the best you may hear, he is hardly given enough credit outside of his fan base. It is actually a difficult task to find a decent biography about him on the internet which should be easy today. So I have built this page so more people will continue or start to listen to his music.
