I am well. Also, I am truly glad to make a good friend like you laugh again!

Minnesota has been kind to me so far, though peeps over here want to take me out hunting deer, ducks, and pheasants. I displayed little or no interest to their enthusiasm about shooting living creatures for pleasure. But if it is a brain-eating zombies-to-hunt-down-and-destroy issue to save the world and human brains, I'd understand that their actions of destroying such creatures may be necessary and justified. Whatever. From my sick and totalizing perspective I would deliberately addressed to them their names as being "Ted" like in Ted Nugent or Teddy Roosevelt because of their enthusiasm to hunt populations with gun in hand. I am getting away with it so far because I appeared to them as if totally convinced that their names were really Ted. I'd apologize to them for the apparent mix up with their names. Then, I'd call them "Ted" again the next time we meet for their persuading me to go hunting again. Yep. Minnesota has been very kind to me :)

To avoid comparisons to Ted Nugent (because in my own mind, I'm a Republican and misguided, fat rawkstar) I refuse to hunt and destroy living (or unliving) creatures at the moment.

How are you? Vampyres are in season, y'know!

Hey Rob! It was great to talk to you. I'd like to go to lunch one day, if possible. I only work part time so I could hit the Mission Valley area whenever you have time. I'm gluten intolerant but I can eat at P.F. Chang's cuz they have a gluten free menu. Let me know if you're interested. See ya soon.... Diane B.

i hope h.r. giger does the cover illustration for your book. it would ultimately be the pure silver nail hammered to the coffin. hmmm...i think you have always been a dedicated fan of his artwork. i remember the expression on your face when you showed a book of his art to me. it was the gaze of genuine appreciation. that was 17 years ago. as your writing progressed, the more giger's influence, his art, seems to move in and co-exist comfortably with your writing. congratulations, robert. i believe this is a real beginning of your first novel to come!

yes, and i miss you very much my friend!
