Nine years ago the "party band" Steelwater, was playing popular cover tunes in venues around NC. Slowly Steelwater started writing original songs that caught attention of audiences and generated requests. In 2002 Steelwater went into the studio and planned to spend 32 studio hours over two months to complete their CD. Over 90 studio hours, a year later and way over budget; Steelwater was ready to release its first original CD- STEELWATER [STILL AVAILABLE- send purchase request by email]. There were differing opinions in the band about the direction Steelwater should take. The decision was made and Steelwater lost a very talented guitarist to another popular local cover band. The three remaining members agreed to change direction, stop playing cover songs, and add a new guitarist. With the addition of a new guitarist R-JET was formed. In 2004, after a year of writing songs, R-JET went into the studio much wiser, more experienced and ready to record a new CD. The CD is complete; "Done Caught You Up" is about the music, creativity and talent.
