In Loving Memory....The Ryan J. Lariviere Memorial Fund is a non-profit musicians fund helping bands get their music to the next level.
--The 2008 Battle of the Bands will be held on August 16, 2008 at the Plymouth Memorial Bldg, Plymouth, MA. We are excited to announce that we have several new sponsors and media partners joining our already successful group of media partners to help make this year’s event the biggest and most successful to date. With the support of Ernie Boch Jr. and the Music Drives Us Foundation we are pleased to announce that just this week WHDH TV Channel 7, CW 56, The Boston Herald, The Boston Phoenix, Stuff@Night and WFNX 101.7 FM have singed on to promote this year's Battle.
Our sponsor list also continues to grow with Daddy’s Junky Music donating a $1000 shopping spree for the winning band at the battle and more give-a-ways for all of the competing bands. Because of all the media attention coming our way, we have extended the deadline for submissions to July 12, 2008. The new date for the announcement of the 7 semi-finalists will be July 20th. Check or site for updates.
Headlining at the battle, Bang Camaro and of course the 7 bands that make it into the finals. Lots of free stuff just for entering the battle. This year we have added a Rock-n-Roll Boot Camp presented by Bang Camaro. Check out the website!
