I was raised in my family's bakery since I could remember. Started working there when I was 14, part time and during the summers, cleaning up after the bakers, learning the trade and making the Italian Ices. At the age of 18 I was married to my beautiful wife, Brigette and we had a son, Ralph. That's when I started working full time and learning everything there was to know about the shop. By 30 I had had enough of the family business, which happens in many if not most famlily businesses, took my wife, son and daughter, Jenna, to Florida to follow a dream. I worked for a mouse! Greatest experience EVER...even if the pay was the worst. While down there I made a good name for myself in the WDW company, but after awhile something started to happen. I was again making those pastries, cookies and cakes that made us famous in NY right in Celebration,FL, to help suppliment income and also bring a little more joy into the office area where I worked. About 3 years into living down there we knew it was time to come home.
So now I'm back here in NY, working the shop, which has seen an increase of over 45% my first two years back. I plan on continuing down that path even with the way the economy is. With a little help from our loyal customers we'll survive what lies ahead.
