BIOGRAPHY:
Richard John Thompson is a singer/songwriter from Newcastle-upon-Tyne who performs
both acoustically and with his full backing band.
To date, Richard has released two full length albums (2003’s ‘Hidden Daylight’ and 2006’s ‘Illogical Life’) and a 4-track ‘Acoustic Sessions EP’ (released in 2007). The new EP features acoustic versions of tracks from his two full-band albums.
Over the past three years, Richard has supported artists such as Midge Ure (UK and German tours), The Proclaimers, Deacon Blue, John Martyn, Duke Special, David Ford, Polly Paulusma, Geno Washington and Alexander O’Neal.
