RKO Army is Rhode Island and Massachusetts' premier cast Rocky Horror Picture Show cast performing four shows a month in four different theatres across two states.

RKO Army has a long (and sometimes confusing) lineage that traces all the way back to 1978. In its current incarnation, the RKO Army (formerly RKO Players) merged with the Absolute Pleasure Players in 1997 and we've sailed on ever since.

We've seen many host theatres come and go, including the now-defunct Meadowbrook Cinema in Warwick, RI and theatres in Attleboro, Ma and Cranston & Providence, RI. In the winter of 2004, we began performing at the Island Cinemas in Middletown, RI, and the run became so successful, that another theatre in the chain decided to pick it up as well, which lead to the start of performing monthly at the East Bridgewater Cinemas 6 in East Bridgewater, Ma. Continuing the success, the chain picked up a third monthly show was added in September of 2007 at the Entertainment Cinemas in South Kingstown, RI. Finally, we began performing monthly at the Foxboro Orpheum Theatre in May of 2008.

In addition to our regular theatre runs, RKO Army also does guest performances. We have developed a 20-minute audio-only Floor Show and have performed at places like Club Hell, Club Gallery, and Decadence. RKO Army is a cast of many talents. We recently began shadowcasting the brand-new cult favorite, Repo! The Genetic Opera. RKO played host to the film's director and actors, Darren Bousman, Alexa Vega, and Grave Robber himself, Terrance Zdunich (thats pronounced Z’dew-nitch). Repo! will share screen time with Rocky Horror at the Foxboro Orpheum theatre which will be alternating each month, so check out our schedules to see whats playing! In addition to Repo! we also are one of the only Rocky casts that performs Shock Treatment on a yearly basis. Adding to our roster are Evil Dead, Army of Darkness, South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut, and Clue.

RKO also likes to switch things up once in a while and have special theme shows. We've had All Girls Show, All Guys Show, Gender Bender Show, and whenever there's a holiday, like say Christmas, Easter, or 4/20, we like to get into the "spirit" of things. One theme show we take the most pride in is our biggest and longest running traditions, the annual Fourth of July Patriotic themed show.
