Influences
The basics.. all the major conscious rappers, amazing musicians, talented singers and songwriters. Name them, and I'm probably influenced by 'em. I'm also influenced by my senses.. the smells of different environments.. I generally tend to cloese my eyes and focus more on everything else around me. It helps me keep my mind clear in order to write good stuff. Hence why when I'm in one surrounding for longer than I should be my thoughts aren't as creative as they could be!
Sounds Like
Individuality is a funny thing. I love saying I'm individual, but when I say that.. I'm just being like everyone else. So no, I'm not an individual, but I am my own person. I make music that gets to people. It's not my own sound because nowadays music is just a formulaec structure of something previously done. It's ridiculous but it's the best way money can be made in this industry. I would imagine music is what you make of it, so listen to my stuff and have your own.. individual.. opinion.
RKZ aka Mr Entertainer is a 19 year old singer/rapper/songwriter/DJ, based in London/Luton. He first officially came onto the scene in Summer 2008 with his singles "Be Mine" and "Renegades". The video medley, which featured an appearance from UK based rapper Raxstar, was followed by RKZ' debut album called Releas'd: Volume I [This is available to purchase below!]
After a short spell behind-the-scenes of his co-founded record label DAS Records, he was part of the team that pushed the debut album of Bhangra super-producer Jus Ritz. RKZ had a cameo video appearance for Jus Ritz' first single Tere Na Te Glassy, and he contributed with a 16 verse for Jus' second single Nehio Nebhani.
Since this, RKZ had been hard at work in the studio and released a mixtape entitled "Mr. Entertainer". This mixtape, in his own words, is considered the build-up to the single, which was released on 1 July 2009. The mixtape consists of 24 tracks which are all available for free download on this page and alternatively on www.dasrecords.com. From this mixtape, the following tracks have been pushed on BBC Radio and you can now request them on the majority of shows - Dreams Of You feat. Raxstar; Gendha Phool with Bharat Goel.
The single "Mr. Entertainer" was RKZ' first OFFICIAL single release of 2009. The track is available on iTunes across the world, and the official Music Video is available to watch further down on this page [VIDEO Section]. "Gendha Phool" was the follow up video which rounded off a nice summer for Luton-born RKZ [This video is also available to view in the VIDEO Section]. Up next from RKZ in 2009 are the single release with Icey & 789 Crew called "How You Dance", the Genda Phool follow up with Bharat Goel called "Kuke" and the video to "You Dunno Bout This DJ!" by DJ Dips feat. RKZ, MC Rax, Horizon, Menis & Swami Baracus for Stand Up Vol. II.
RKZ is tipped to become one of the most promising - yet underrated - British Asian musicians to come from the UK in a very long time. A self-funded, self-established musician with the world seemingly in his possession - continue to support him by downloading his mixtape, and buying his album/singles! You already know what it is!

I finally finished up a project I have been working on closely with my homie DJ Trippin' over the past few months. The idea was to take a handful of my freestyles, studio tracks, and b-sides I've recorded over the last year and combine them all to a 1 track mix.
