Born and raised in the Coteau des Prairies region of northeastern South Dakota, I joined the local hometown Guard unit while a junior in high school. After college, I worked in health care before stepping out on my own in developing a handwashing signal for soap dispensers used in the health care and food service industries.
As a member of the National Guard, I deployed to Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom) in support of the War on Terror during 2004-2005 as a gun truck commander assisting in over 270 convoy security escort missions as well as numerous patrols. An avid runner, I enjoy spending time with my family, appreciating the outdoors, and continue to write.
Hakkımda: Road Hunter in the Land between the Rivers - Available Now.
"The moral structure defining what is known to be right and what is accepted as wrong quickly fades..."
Deployed to Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom) in support of the War on Terror, a soldier embarks on an incredible journey protecting convoy supply trucks. Sent as part of a National Guard unit to provide military support, his convoy security escort team - Road Hunter One-Six, encounters extraordinary challenges as the insurgents shift their disruptive focus from the larger cities and infiltrate the once peaceful desert highways.
From the rolling plains of the Dakotas to the seemingly endless deserts of Iraq, the author guides readers through his personal journal detailing his team’s experiences of laughter and struggle.
Incidents pulled from assistance in over 270 convoy missions as well as numerous patrols to include a "paranormal" occurrence. Includes the powerful, moving poem - Crystal Clear Blue Skies.
This title details a firsthand account of the harsh, dangerous, and chaotic life of gun truck soldiers.

Greetings from Sussex, and I thank you for adding my name to your list of "friends." Perhaps you will be interested to hear that my literary agent, Ms King, has cajoled me into participating in a program she is calling "Fifteen Weeks of Bees," which will tie together the fifteenth anniversary of our first collaboration, The Beekeeper's Apprentice, and the publication of our newest venture in May, The Language of Bees. Appropriately, "Fifteen Weeks" will join my efforts on MySpace with hers on her web site and blog. Please join us starting on February 1.
