Bonnie Hurunui and Joe Teinekore formed Roadies in May of 2006 after discovering each others musical passions (without intimate touching) whilst working together. Bonnie and Joe started frequenting open mic nights around Auckland, New Zealand, in bars like Diablos, Dogs Bollix, The Grand, and Park Bar. They are always followed closely behind by their namesakes and BYO fans (the original "Roadies"): Little, Lele and Jado. With originals from Bonnie's 6 years of serious song writing, and Joe's uncountable years of drumming and percussion, you know it's gotta be COOLIO!
Hey Y’know Digital Promotion helps the environment AND the economy?

Hi team! Bonnie it's locked into the diary Congratulations!! We will do our best to get up there. The only prob is that we have AE that week, but if I get my shit sorted it shouldn't be a problem! Todd
Yo. Can you spread the word? I need more musos for Oxjam - 24th October @ Roasted. $2.50 to play or $5 non-players. To support Oxfam - Fair Trade. You know you lot rock!!AK
Hiya. Yep cool. I've booked you guys in to do 3 songs. Rock up just before 8. It is $2.50 entry for performers coz we are raising money for Oxfam. Cheers guys. See you there! Anna Kaye
Hi you guys. Just wanted to say thank you for your exceptional set last night. Thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and listening to your music. Very impressive. Will keep you posted on AE news before we get you back down here. Thanks again, Todd
GREIG COWAN Canadian born singer songwriter thats keen as mustard for his debut performance down at AE. Ive had a good listen to his demo and Im real impressed at his guitar playing and (Tom Pettyish) vocal. Sweet as music, that I will enjoy sitting back to, relaxing and contemplating all that is good in the world. Think Neil Young or an unplugged Pearl Jam. What's more he's local so get in and see what he's about.
REDWOOD www.myspace.com/redwoodnz A dude and his guitar. Now this is something a bit different. Brad Taylor forms the basis of this musical outfit that I reckon bear a little resemblance to that band Clannad. You know, the one that had that tune... 'Rooooobin, the hooded man.' No? Nevermind. Soft tunes with a smoothe soft vocal telling dark tales of life. Splendid listening. They're coming a fair way to play at AE as well, Tauranga I think. Bless em.
CURIOUS TEA www.myspace.com/curioustea "Every rose has it's thorn!!" Just as the 'Tea' rocked out last time they appeared at AE back in July. It's the return of my good mate Jono to give us a set of acoustic rock that I reckon we all need. He's told me that he'll be teaming up with Nigel Kapa again and that maybe we might even be blessed with the rest of the 'Tea's' crew....Rusty??? Its simple with Curious Tea...Rock n Roll. Hard at work in the studio recording their album, this will be a chance to perform some of the tracks from it. Tunes like 'Gas station girl' and 'ok'. Whats best is, they mean it.
LEO This is the return of the stunning Leo. She played at our opening night if I recall correctly and now she's comin back. Hailing from Auckland, Leo has one of those beautiful soft, crisp voices that shut a whole pub up with a virtual whisper. I know this cos that's what she did. Think Bic Runga, or brooke Fraser and you are on the right track. She's a bloody top lady as well
Hi Bonnie and Joeseph. I am hoping that you have got in touch with us cos your looking for a gig. If you are then we would love to have you. Have a look at our page and if performing appeals then please let me know. Cheers, Todd. AE
Awesome to hear from you! And hearing some of your beautiful tunes sent some chillies down me spine. Very nice indeed! I'm in London at the mo' which is treating me ok. It's pretty frantic at the mo', hence no tunes being written other than a bit of recording and production stuff for other peoples. Anyways, really good to hear from you! Hope all is good in your world eh. Miss ya! and so good to hear your tunes. They're special. Cool, keep it real
