   About Roadside Poppies

Roadside poppies started as a one-man project but has become something far greater, a band with lots of members*

*actual band members may vary. See side of box for details

Songs about summer, flowers, cycling, falling in and out of love and murderous neighbours - the usual indie pop fare.

It's been a while since the last update. We're now a band with Cambridge and Copenhagen franchises! We've a tremendous amount of fun playing Indietracks, On our honeymoon, a gig for LastFM and at the opening of the Atlas project in CERN. We're happy to play anywhere, anytime.

RPM album

We recorded an album in february as part of the rpm challenge (10 songs in 28 days) and have made the entire thing available on our website www.roadsidepoppies.com and lastfm .

Our first real CD release is sold out

The wonderful people at Wee Pop! records have released our first CD. The Cycling and Crying e.p. Numbers are limited so don't wait and grab yours today!. Check it out here: weepop.net/ and lastfm .

New songs on the way very soon

But we're working on new material right at this moment. We've got 8 or 9 songs we intend to sprinkle over a couple of EPs very soon. So you've got time to get your ears cleaned ready for some new roadside poppies songs :)

Get yer hankies ready, 'cos we're on our way. Roadside poppies

Sorry for taking me more than one month (!) to reply..
It was so good to meet you Matt at Indietracks!
Unfortunately, I missed your gig but Ola saw you and told me you were great.
I hope there will be a second chance soon.

Hi Roadside Poppies. I was just thinking, in a complicated world it's great to know there's something simple. Shredded Wheat is made from just one ingredient - Whole Grain Wheat. Nothing more. Nothing extra. No added anything. So it's great to eat any day of the week. Lots of love, Jonny.

Hello Popside Roadies, lovely seeing you play in the church. And thanks to Matloob's deft iPod programming skills you're possibly the first band to do mash-ups of your own songs. It's the future of Indiepop.
