About me: Come join us for "Just a Wee Bit 'O Fun" at The Roanoke's St. Patrick's Day Celebration! This is the Southeast's second biggest St. Pat's celebration and grows larger every year! This year, EventZone will be having the celebration at Railside Plaza on Norfolk Ave! It will be the grandest St. Patrick’s Day Celebration that Roanoke has ever seen...the festivities will take place on Saturday, March 15th 2008 and Admission is FREE!
McDonalds St. Pats Parade starts at noon in Downtown Roanoke on Jefferson Street!
Celtic Festival (11:00-5:00): The festival features Scottish and Irish crafts, food, drink, and entertainment. This year's event will offer a ton of free stuff for your children to do while you shop the Celtic crafts, dance an Irish jig with one of the bands, or grab a corned beef sandwich and a cold (green) beer.
THE SCHEDULE THIS YEAR:
11:00am - SunTrust Celtic Festival opens
12:15pm - Pipe bands from parade begin performing at Festival site
1:30pm - Scruffy Murphy
2:00pm - McDonald's St. Pat's Parade awards
2:15pm - Finn's Fury
3:30pm - Warpipe (with Dancers)
4:00pm - Finns Fury
