Donna Williams and The Aspinauts performed today at Prahran Central Mission as part of a Roarhouse line up. What a fabulous audience!
If you don't know what Prahran Central Mission is, its a safe haven for Melbourne's disadvantaged, marginalised and homeless population and it knows how to put on hospitality.
The other performers in the line up were diverse, and toasty. It was the warm fuzzy hippy concept is actually all about, a palpable sense of diversity-friendly community and the celebration of inner beauty, realness, and grit and shit of the school of hard knocks and all the artism it gives birth to.
Some wonderful writers gave awesome readings and others shared their musicality with such open hearts it was clearly contagious. Roarhouse gigs aren't just entertaining, they're awesomely inclusive and they're therapeutic.
YO thanks for the add! You would have been chatting to Stew last night, it's Xen here. I really like the concept of what youre doing and I see we have some friends in common. We're mastering our ep with Adam Dempsey this week. Our wackier stuff is being recorded as we speak which we're really excited about. HOpe to meet in person some time. Will come check out one of your nights soon. Cheers, Xen

Thanks for having Donna and The Aspinauts along to the 303 Bar this week. What a fab feeling to the crowd there. John Lennon would have smiled. With the supportive screaming, clapping, cheering, whistling, stomping, we reckon you guys must have provided the most full on supportive audience we've played at. Wild fun. Glad you all had a great time. All the best with future events.
