Born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Orlando Florida and Boston. Rob Benton is hitting and leaving his mark on the Northeast music scene with fervor. Playing his edgy mix of acoustic rock and pop to packed venues almost nightly, few artists can match Rob’s energy and unique style.
“There are so many things happening in my little bubble,” says Benton of the many projects currently on his plate. Besides playing his solo acoustic shows in intimate venues, Rob has been touring with the Rob Benton Band for a more energetic and explosive sound. Mentored and managed by Rich Cronin (multi-platinum selling artist/producer, LFO, Sureshot, Mission: Manband, Loose Cannons),The Rob Benton Band recently won the RJL Memorial Battle of the Bands. A competition where 8 of the best bands in the northeast Duke it out on stage, playing only original music.Rob also has recently signed with Orange Freeze Records to complete his debut album and plans for a major label release in 2008.

Rob, it has been awhile. I've been busy with school. I checke dout the new stuff, and I have to add, I'm highly impressed with the new stuff. I added Summer Song to my profile. Hey Rob! I'm going to be travelling to Cedarville to see you guys play because the place where I stay at at the Cape is not too far from the Cedarville one. So you'll see my face there and also Walpole. I love the line up of shows. =] Keep them coming!
