When Rob plays with Left Foot Braking, it's Aaron Kenner on guitar, Ed Heisig on bass, and Mark Bergstrom on drums. You can check out Left Foot Braking on myspace too!
Unique and infectious guitar style, chill to rockin', with heartfelt lyrics and strong hooks. In the words of John Hill, good friend and veteran radio DJ and creator of WNRN's Acoustic Sunrise, "He doesn't suck." Do you need more encouragement?! In all seriousness, it's good stuff. And your purchase will help Rob publish some more projects waiting in the wings. Just search 'Rob Bergstrom' in your iTunes Store or click below!
In the summer of 98, Rob graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park. In a mire of post-graduate lack of direction, he fiddled away at his guitar, which he had started playing as a senior in high school, and ended up writing his first song. He liked it. He wrote a few more. He liked
those. They made him feel good. Life was better.
About a year later, Rob got involved in auto racing. One week before his first event in a rally car, he sat down with a friend who had some recording equipment and recorded some of his songs in case he hurt himself and couldn't play anymore, sort of like a musical insurance plan. The race went well and without incident, and, soon after, he let a couple friends check out the songs he had recorded. His friends liked the songs. They let their friends listen to the songs. They liked the songs too. Soon the response to Rob's songs was so overwhelmingly positive that he decided to begin performing them publicly.
After a few years of open mics and solo gigs, Rob gathered some praise, some new friends, and occasionally a few bucks to put toward the racing budget. He, his brother Mark, and friends Aaron Kenner and Ed Heisig, also formed a band that Rob persuaded them to name after a rally-driving technique... Left Foot Braking.
That first recording that Rob created in his friend's studio, affectionately known as On the Stairs to Go Up, will eventually be made available in a retail-friendly format. In the meantime, Rob is publishing a Live EP and studio demo entitled Rob Bergstrom Live @ Victory Hall Theatre. Ultimately, Rob hopes his songs bring as much joy, release, and fulfillment to those who listen to them as they have to him and it wouldn't hurt if they brought in a few bucks for the racing budget.
So I was regaled the other weekend with tales of you shooing people away from the timing area at the last rallyx in a "colorful" manner. Did you put yourself on probation for disruptive and offensive behavior? ;)
so this is my first time accessing the internet with sound features... love the music. have a cd for me? ::will rub backs for cds:: ;) see you whenever i make it out again.

Oi, Rob. I have a question whats been bothering me for years now. Why don't yer new car have the kickass breaking-up-squares like the old one? We had a lot of fun practicing chaos theory in the placement of those squares... as I recall, had a lot of beer, too...
hey stranger! how are you? haven't talked to you in forever! are you still at the lake? if so- i'd love to see you since you are only a few streets away.
Why do I always start the new year off with a hangover? Thanks for the mailer. I have to sink a mount the concrete wall of the shop to hang it up. Good times.
