Robbie Ducey-Lead Guitar and Vocals/
Mark Jones - Bass and Vocals/
Jim Bender - Drums and Vocals
Influences
I was first drawn to the guitar because of the British Invasion influences of players like Clapton, Jeff Beck, Robin Trower,Jimmy Page, and later on by Jimi Hendrix and all the blues greats: B.B. King, Albert King, Albert Collins.
Another big influence on my style was of course my home town hero James Brown. One of the baddest shows I've ever seen was James Brown and the Famous Flames at the Bell Auditorium in Augusta. I went with some of my buddies from high school and we were just blown away. I'll never forget that night .
Sounds Like
Sounds like a cross blend of Stevie Ray Vaughan/Jimi Hendrix/Robin Trower guitar style with a little James Brown funk and Motown soul mixed in.
Trouble
Robbie Ducey and his band have been traveling the southeastern music seen for over a decade now, playing every type of show, club, or festival you could imagine. Their music is a mix of 70's bluesy rock with funk and soul.
This band throws one relentless groove after another at you, all powered by some rockin' Texas style guitar, along with great vocals and harmonies.
Their songs give you that feeling that you've heard it before and have you hooked into the groove and patting your feet before you realized it happened.
Robbie's latest CD:"Acey Ducey"is doing quite well in a number of foreign radio markets, with cuts being aired in Argentina, France, Belgium, Canada. and Australia. "At Last" and "Lay The Hammer Down" have both won a couple of awards on garageband.com in the blues-rock category, and have both been featured 'downloads of the day'. The CD is available at CD Baby.com. Live is where this band excells. One of the few instances where the band is actually better live than their CD. Comin' to a town near you...that little ole' band from Georgia...the Robbie Ducey Band!
just wanted to hit you up and say thanks for the add. make sure you keep checking back at my page and letting me know what you think of my music. My album will be coming soon, so keep in touch and tell a friend about my music. Thanks again...
I love the funky groove and guitar through the Leslie sound. Reminds me of the Meters. Hope all is good in your part of the world. Peace, Bill Lordan (The Robin Trower Band)

Please accept this Magic Layer Cake for your very own Willy's Sweet Shop. Please send a sweet back to me because I'm trying to find a Golden Ticket and the more I play, the more Chocolate Bars I earn. The more you play, the more money that is raised for St. Jude Children's Hospital, a great charity that supports the needs of children with cancer.
