RobbieRyanWorkflow.Robbie Ryan is the main producer and composer of Robbie Ryan Filmmusik. I have a small studio that handles everything from basic sketches to full orchestrations. Once I am approached with a project, the producer provides me with rough videoclips. I then compose sketches of musical ideas and provide them both in .mp3 format and combined with the footage into a Quicktime Movie. Once the sketches are approved by the producer, I will begin composition of the piece required after receiving half of the agreed fee. Once the work is completed, I will provide the producer with a finished .mp3 file for approval and notes. Once the final fee is collected, I will provide the producer with high quality .wav or .aiff files for the final soundtrack mix.

I work in a hybrid digital/analogue modular environment. My main tool for composition is Opcode Studio Vision Pro, a classic Mac-Based sequencer that has been used on countless records and films.
I have been using it for years on dozens of projects.
I am able, with this system, to match hits based on your SMPTE time code, so that my work matches perfectly the tone and feel of your project. The result for you is that I work very quickly in this environment and there are no delays based on system upgrades or software glitches. I then process your music through a variety of synthesizers and sound modules, both classic and cutting edge, to give you rich, full fidelity music that doesn't sound "canned" or "pre-programmed."
Everything is mixed in the analogue domain before a 2-track stereo 16-bit 44.1 khz file is created.

I've been influenced by thousands of composers and producers over the years, but if you wanted to know where I get most of my juice from, it's these cats...

Every track in every film is different, but if you wanted to distill it into one sentence, it would be:
Dynamic, Orchestral, Sweeping, with the beeps and blips of electronica.
How's that?

This is Robbie Ryan, a composer and music producer from Texas. I have scored dozens of short films, industrials, jingles and podcasts for a variety of different individuals and corporations, including the Texas Department of Transportation and the United States Naval Reserve. I also wrote and programmed an entire score for the web feature Kung Fu Girls Club, which I also directed. I have worked under my own name, as well as the musical pseudonyms Jean Coin Du Monde(film work,)Butn Pushn Teknohedz(techno and podcast work,) and Hitz on 386. I am available for any project of any scope and any budget. As a filmmaker, I understand that many times original music is the last item on a production, and getting a modern score with an electronic edge and orchestral flourishes is a luxury. Please contact me with any inquiries and let me help you make that a reality.

I DID laugh and I wished that the guy with the video back then would have come after I went to the hairdresser and after I ordered my shop;-) I just saw it because I'm off to the list now and only sniff in on occasion.
