Rob Moore, the creator and sole (soul) member of momo and the modern musical adventure, is happy to create music that is fun for everyone. Enjoi!
Bio:
Rob brings a fresh approach to innovation, with percussive colors and concepts influenced by his parallel experiences playing keyboards and reeds, as well as singing in vocal ensembles. A Phoenix native, his musical career had a prodigious start as the drummer for Young Sounds (the all-city jazz band featuring Arizona's brightest high school talents), after which he won a summer samp scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and subsequently the jazzbird scholarship to pursue his degree at Arizona State University under the tutelage of jzz educator Chuck Marohnic.
Rob counts percussionist J.B. Smith and Dom Moio among his mentors, and has also had the opportunity to work with legends Gunther Schuller and Doc Severinson. Rob's young career has seen him playing man styles of music, from jazz to Top 40, and as a sideman to the best leader in the Southwest. His creative bent has led to immersion in avant garde projects such as Inner Journeys Trio, Trio Oro and an unreleased solo project, "Momo and the Modern Musical Adventure."
