Five years after the last studio record, Robert Bradley’s Blackwater Surprise delivers Out of the Wilderness for 2008. The long-awaited album is the fifth major release from the blind artist who illuminates his listeners with his lyrical and musical vision. “This record brings me back to the time when I started out wanting to be a singer-songwriter, where the music did not need the New York Philharmonic to make it real. It’s just me at the piano with the musicians around me finding my groove. I wanted to do a record and just be Robert and sing straight like Jim Reeves on ‘Put Your Sweet Lips a Little Closer to the Phone.’ I wanted to do a record that was innocent. That’s why I say Out of the Wilderness because it is like I’ve just been born,” explains Bradley.

Nov 3 2009 7:45 AM URGENT: Wanted Two Bands for Label Consideration There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration. *** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives. 1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age. * Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. * Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry. 2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age. * Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. * Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry. The company he worked for went Bankrupt and they took his Life Insurance and Medical as well. I am trying to raise enough money to give him a proper burial. Please find it in your heart to come out to the Benefit, he so deserves it. There will be 5-6 AWESOME bands. The bands that are already booked for the show are: The Midnight Rendezvous, StellarDrive & Bazooka Jones. Special Guests: Charlie Allen Martin (Bob Seger) & Psychild - Robert Noll, Tyuawn Brown (A Michael Jackson Impersonator) and Bruce Race (Charlie Chaplin Impersonator). Location is: Scott Lake Banquet Center (Located inside the Waterford Elks) 2100 Scott Lake Road.
