Band MembersRobert Brown. Vocals & Guitars, Dulcimar,Mandolin, Banjo etc Anything with strings really, except a violin!
InfluencesYou Name it! Everything from old fashioned country music that I was bottle fed when I was a kid. Hank Williams, Hank Snow, Marty Robbins, Charly Pride. HillBilly & RockaBilly stars like Johnny Burnette, Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Jerry Lee & of course Elvis. Right up to the Likes of Hendrix, Zappa, Page, Salvador Dali Domenech, Buchannon, Egor Stravinsky, Hank Marvin, Sabbath for their bludgeoning Riffs! and all points in between.

Scotty Moore and Merle Travis for the Schooling on guitar pickin. Cliff Gallup for being the Damn Best! Peter Greene for the extra heartbreaking sound we all try to find.

Roy Harper & Richard Thompson, not an influence but songwriters who inspire me to try and write real songs in diffrent styles. Clever Bastards! I am also a new and huge fan of the "Bionic folk Grandad", Nic Jones!

Must admit a head nod or two to Massive attack that guy has soul in him.

People do ask, but no. Ive never listened to Bob Dylan or the Beatles. They just dont twang mah thang!

Berberman and the Mighty Smouldering Sons of the West!

Sounds LikeI Mean it!....Ive no idea, just throw it in the air and see what happens! I dont stick to formulas. never! Ive not been here before. Old enough to want to sound like me!

"In this day and age it’s truly a very rare guitarist/song writer who can deliver the power of rock on an acoustic. A true lesson in the power of an acoustic guitar. Quite possibly the BEST EVER acoustic solo artist performance that I’ve ever seen!" DJ Krusher "Classic Rock Magazine" April 2009.

With his unique style and presence Robert delivers a wealth of styles and emotions throughout the roots spectrum. His psychedelic folk cum blues cum jazz performances are unique yet accessible, eccentric yet consistent.

Robert has worked with artists ranging from the late Great Dick Heckstall Smith to Lulu.

In The past year Robert has played a Headline show at the Cambridge Folk Festival and the Clare World Music Festival. He also played Solo Acoustic support for Lulu on her last UK tour.

Later this year in 2009 he will be touring the US for a second time in November & December

Either performing solo acoustic or with full percussion including a 6ft Gong, the live shows are full of sonorous dynamics with an intensity and energy radiating from the stage.

Robert is releasing his debut album on his own label. But is always looking for a dedicated progressive label to distribute his songs to a larger & wider audience.

Robert is also happy to be approached by labels or artists requiring material for thier own releases. Robert has an extensive back catalog ranging from country Ballads to Hardcore Rock.

Robert now tours constantly for nine months of the year across the UK. He WILL be playing a show near you this year. Just check the gig guide for a show near you!

..

If you would like to help Robert promote the new album on your own page with this banner, please send a message for the html code. Many Thanks.

Me At the Debenham folk club which I run and at which I compere and play a few songs as well. The song is "Oh my Head".

This Incredible & Surreal Genius of Dali....

Peter Green & his Fleetwood Mac. Probably the greatest Blues singer, writer and guitar player this country has ever produced! Here he is "Live" singing... Oh Well

Hey sugar, hope you're having a good weekend. Things here are good, and the rain (30 days and 30 nights, lol) has finally decided to leave us alone for now.... but left me with a few extra curls on my head. for real!

Anyway, I didn't want to stop by empty handed, so here's some NY fruit from around the corner ;-)

Hey there,

Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4

Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

Best,
Faber.

Hi Robert - I must find a way of getting along to one of your gigs soon. It's been a long time. The new stuff on your site is sounding fantastic. I could swear some of it has gone down a real old style Fleetwood Mac path. Back to before the Rumours lineup. I was talking to a friend of mine who are going to see them play this year. The "real" Fleetwood Mac she said, not realising they were great before she was born.
Also try listening to this guy - he's an American doing a PhD in maths at my old university in London and he's recently put a lot of stuff up on YouTube. A little bit out of the ordinary I think.

I think he does other things like play a Mandolin.
