| General | Books (especially 19th century English and American fiction and poetry); movies (from the silent era, the 30s and 40s); Internet (particularly for discussion groups). | | Music | Mostly classical but some folk, rock, jazz, and songs from musical theater. | | Movies | I like old movies and spend a lot of time watching channels like TCM. I also have quite a collection of DVDs that go all the way from "Greed" to "Cold Comfort Farm" | | Television | Don't care much for TV except for the movie channels and some of the programs on Biography (especially Hercule Poirot and Sherlock Holmes. About me:
I'm 60 years old--which is older than I ever thought I would be. My profession is teaching; I'm an English instructor at University of Maryland University College. My Ph.D. is from University of Maryland, College Park. So far I have written one book of poems, Blue Denim Days, which is available online from Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and other online bookshops. I have now finished the manuscript of a second book, and am working on a combo for books three and four.
