My first instrument is drums and percussion. I guess my second is piano. My whole life I've had a crush on the nylon string guitar. About six years ago I decided to act on it when I bought one at a stoop sale. We've been together ever since.
I have my own band.... music inspired by both the people and the music I love. Aside from that....I have had the pleasure to perform/ tour/ record (as a drummer) with ... Ursa Minor, Jesse Harris, Norah Jones, Alex Cuba, Josh Rouse, Sonya Kitchell, Joshua Radin, Gustafer Yellowgold, Sasha Dobson, Priscilla Ahn, Schuyler Fisk, Vanessa Carlton, La Mar Enfortuna, Serena Jost, Elysian Fields, Falu, Kasey Chambers, and everyone else that I can not remember at this moment. TV Credits include David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, The Today Show, The Early Show, and Live from Abbey Road.
Currently, I'm working on my 3rd album. I also run a glorified home studio and write songs for JOMA Music Publishing.... with plans to write more songs....lots more.
Oh yeah...Lastly, I invented and wrote the patent for the "Wingnut Drum Key" currently licensed and distributed by the Evans Drum Company, a division of D'Addario Strings. Please buy one. It's maybe the nerdiest thing I've ever done. Thanks for listening. love, dp
