The new record is so oxymoronic. I don't mean that in a bad way. It's just strange how your songs can be so raw, yet whole and encompassing. I got the album last tuesday and really can't stop listening. I drove up to Chicago to see some friends. Along the way I had a lot of time to think about my past relationships. Its amazing how much you understand the core of the nostalgia, regret, and utter fear of what two people can do to each other. I know you have endured a lot of pain and emptiness, but thank you for pouring it out into your songs, because what has come out is something beautiful and humbling. Safe travels...hope I can make it to a live show soon!
