Robert Henke, born 1969, releases computer generated music on his own label imbalance computer music, starting 1994 with his first CD, Piercing Music. In 1995 Henke founded the more dancefloor orientated project monolake, together with Gerhard Behles, who left monolake in 1999. monolake became a Henke solo project. Robert Henke is also the author of an ongoing network music project, Atlantic Waves. The Atlantic Waves software is a graphical network sequencer which allows two people to perfrom and improvise together while being thousands of miles appart. Robert Henke is part of the development team of the music software company Ableton and the creator of the midi controler MonodeckII.
The latest release of Robert Henke is a series of tracks created by resampling and manipulating the sound of an FM3 Buddha machine player. It is called Layering Buddha.
