    Robert Kopec,acoustic & electric bassist from Fair Oaks,NY, leads many of his own groups and is an indemand sideman. Kopec's resume is diverse to say the least,gigs started at the age of 14 and lead him from rock to show pits,from members of the group Skid Row to backing the legendary Hennie Youngman.Along the way he has been a endorsee/clinician for Kramer Guitars,Fender Guitars and SWR Amps.Now endorsing Epifani Amplification and DR Strings. Robert's love is improvising in all forms and he has had the great experience of sharing the stage with master improvising musicians the likes of Hal Galper,Eddie Bert,Mark Murphy,Hugh Brodie,Michael Formaneck,Randy Brecker,Lew Soloff, Joel Rosenblatt,Jeff Hirschfield,Adam Nussbaum,Kazzrie Jaxen,Russ Johnson,Dean Sharp,Freddie Jacobs,Bob Meyer,John Esposito,Peter O'Brien and Rick Margitza just to name a few. Kopec has also been composing for his trio & quartet and his residency at the Oasis Cafe in New Paltz,NY every Tuesday evening lasted 6 years and was a bit of an institution in that town. There he lead everything from free flowing trios to modern big bands,adapting to the change and challenge. In addition to this Robert is a member of the Scott Weis Band and the 14 piece BIg Bang Jazz Gang! Robert is currently teaching private students for SUNY Orange & Alto Music both in Middletown,NY and the Milford Music School in Milord,Pa. .. this layout is from whateverlife.com! ..

Bio:

Robert Kopec,is an acoustic & electric bassist/composer from Fair Oaks,NY. Where he leads many of his own groups and is a beloved bass playing sideman "mofo". Conquering all styles along the way... Kopec's resume is diverse to say the least,gigs started at the young age 14.Performing with rock groups to show pits,from members of the rock group Skid Row to backing the legendary Hennie Youngmen.During this time many gigs with bluesmen Bill Perry,Slam Allen,Frank Grace and Little Sammy Davis all happened to the seanoning. Along the way he has been an endorsee/clinician for LaBella Strings,Rocktron Products, Kramer Guitars,Fender/Heartfield Guitars and SWR Amps. Currently he is endorsing Epifani Amplification and DR Strings.
