About me:

Funkface DJs
House of the Pumping Party Variety
Bookings: funkface@robertnisbet.com

www.myspace.com/hellofunkface

The DJ
Having spent the last 8 years playing a variety of music styles across the south of the UK, Robert now plays his own brand of house sets, encompassing many house genres. Past shows have included Wildchild @ Heaven, London; Sonic @ The Zodiac, Oxford; RPM @ Paradise Club, Southampton; and many more. As well as playing solo sets, he is one half of the duo Funkface, whos dirty, pumping, party house sound has taken dance floors by storm including at Fresh Out The Box @ the Cellar, Oxford - Funkface's birthplace and hence spiritual home.

Facefunk are playing on 9th March @ Baby Simple, Cowley Rd, Oxford.

The Promoter
Although all is quiet on the promotions front at present, Robert has formerly been involved in nights all across the south, including Revolution, Forward and Church in Oxford, Revolution, ReUnion and Phonic Sessions in Southampton, and a number of others. Further information to follow.

The Engineer/Equipment Hirer/Business man...
Having spent so many years DJing, it was only natural that Robert would acquire a love for big sound systems, festivals, and live music. This has led to the forming of http://www.robertnisbet.com, a high quality event production hire company based in Robert's home town of Oxford. We provide sound, lighting, av, staging and power distribution hire, sales, and leased and purchased installation.

As part of this Robert has toured the UK as FOH engineer for numerous bands, as well as working as systems tech and backline tech when the need arose. My team and I provide live production services for Soma High, I See Sparks, Waiting for Sirens, Xavier Floyd Firebird.

If you are a band, promoter or venue looking for a sound engineer or equipment hire please get in touch. See the website for further details and hire information.

Who I'd like to meet:

people. Especially bands, promoters, DJs... music-y kind of people I guess.

dude we miss it so so so much you have no idea.
apart from the mono set we haven't played since april 19th at the railway! shocking!

as for drummers anyone is worth a go dude. also if you wanna practice on your recording stuff then come down for a night anyway man. we could do with demoing the new stuff even with a drum machine. its sounding really good. just can't gig that way...
  • Feb 8 2007 11:06 AM

not fair. i want some snow. all i got here was a little drizzly rain.
    dull as fuck!

we have been rehearsing loads with the little drum machine. writing a bit and getting everything together. still drummerless at the mo but we seem to be edging closer. haven't rehearsed with leigh for a while due to him being skint at first but then just because there was little point in him coming down just to audition drummers that might not be any good. got to speak to him actually to see whats going down.
you gonna be doing the sns tour this time? dx
