Roberto Pugliese (born April 1, 1980 in Rome), is an electronic engineer and he is currently attending a Post Grad. M. Phil in Music and Media Technologies, Trinity College Dublin. He mainly focuses in computer music research and human machine interface (HMI) applied to digital art. His interests range from electro-acoustic composition to interactive audiovisual practices and random processes in composition.
His previous work includes sound art and mixed media composition, audio/visual performance, gestural control interface, concrete vs. synthetic based material in audio visual composition, random vs. algorithmic composition, chance vs. pre-compositional structures.
His areas of research are real-time interaction and relational aesthetics, in particular audience interaction as an extra-compositional process within the performance.
