Roberto Dalla Vecchia celebrates his 10-year musical career with a brand new album “Unknown Legends”
“Raised in a Catholic family, as a kid I was taught that life is a gift - God’s greatest gift. I have always admired those who work quietly to make the world a better place: people who dedicate their time, sometimes their entire lives, building bridges of love. These songs celebrate these unknown legends. It is my secret desire to follow their steps”.
This is Roberto’s 4th album since "Open Spaces" was released ten years ago. His guitar work continues to explore and expand in 11 strong instrumental compositions based on tradition but reaching well beyond it.
“Unknown Legends” offers a rich and ingenious synthesis of American sounds and Mediterranean flavors, expressed with inventiveness and energy and full of instrumental precision, always arranged with an attentive eye to tradition.
The CD features Roberto’s powerful acoustic guitar and other string instruments, dobro (Enrich Novak), whistles (Paolo Bressan), cello (Giovanni Costantini) and upright bass (Stefano Versolato), playing themselves through a collection of quiet and thoughtful songs full of atmosphere and lively driving tunes.

The CD was recorded at Magister Studio, Italy, and mastered at The Sound Lab, USA.

Acoustic guitar artist Roberto Dalla Vecchia draws deeply from his personal homeland to craft his melodic folk-bluegrass tunes.
Based in Italy, Dalla Vecchia performs regularly at concerts and festivals and teaches workshops throughout Europe.
He is the winner of Acoustic Guitar Magazines 2003 Homegrown CD Award.

The Vicenza, Italy-based artist learned classical piano as a child, but later embraced the guitar thanks to the meeting with flatpicking guitar guru Beppe Gambetta.
Dalla Vecchia maintains a busy solo performance schedule at various venues throughout Europe. He toured nationally and internationally, performing at the European World of Bluegrass (Barneveld, The Netherlands), SBMA Winter Bluegrass Festival (Brugg, Switzerland) Blue Dew Festival (Zwolle, The Netherlands), Bluegrass Festival Hoofddorp (Hoofddorp, The Netherlands), International Guitar Festival (Sarzana, Italy), Notte Country (Milano, Italy), Country & Bluegrass Music Festival (Vicenza, Italy) among others.
In addition to performing at concerts, festivals, community events, Dalla Vecchia runs his own Acoustic Guitar Workshop in Italy each year and teaches guitar workshops in Europe.
Dalla Vecchia makes his own mark with Open Spaces, an ambitious, richly textured collection of compositions, some solo, others with a band.
His second solo CD Sit Back has been released in 2002. Fingerpicking.net Records released his new CD Grateful in 2006. It contains a number of Roberto original tunes increased by Gambettas innovative soundscapes. The album features Dalla Vecchia's powerful acoustic guitar, and showcases some of his finest guitar work to date.
His guitar work is also featured on various compilation CDs, Flatpicking 2003 (FGM 113), European World of Bluegrass 1999 2001 2002 (SCR Productions), Country In This Country (MAP Records), among others. Now plans are in the works for further recordings.
Dalla Vecchia's playing stands out as melodically inspired and meaningfully focused. His flair for the melody is also strongly evident in his compositions, many of which are singable and memorable.

Sto ascoltando il tuo cd GRATEFUL e mi emoziona davvero molto...Traspare una personalità serena, aperta e davvero buona: la qualità più importante per essere un Uomo. "Grateful" è quanto di più dolce si possa concepire e trasmette davvero quel senso di profonda gratitudine che è in te per il dono dei figli. In "Waltz for Mari" si palpa Amore solare e fa respirare un profondo sorriso: l'Amore esiste, dunque! Grazie. Continua a donarci queste perle. Continua a donare bellezza al mondo.
