Roberto A. Mendoza has been one of the main figures in the Mexican electronic scene since the late 80s, founding bands like electro pos-industrial outfit ARTEFAKTO, and in the late 90s the critically acclaimed NORTEC COLLECTIVE (Palm Pictures, Nacional Records), during this same period he also signed a solo deal with UK London based label Certificate 18 appearing for the first time under the Panoptica moniker and releasing a series of 10 inch vinyl and albums from wich dj legend John Peel (RIP) took notice, inviting him to do one of his Peel sessions for the BBC in 2001.
