Robert Paul Lewis is a songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, percussionist, producer, engineer and performer from Oak Ridge, Tennessee with over 30 years of experience. He was introduced to music at the age of 5 on piano, violin at age 9, and clarinet at 10, which he played until graduating high school. <><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><
At age 21, Robert picked up his father’s old guitar and at 22 took it to the stage. He assumed the role of front man as well as lead and rhythm guitarist as he entertained the club and bar scene playing classic rock/blues and alternative “covers” traveling from South Carolina to South Florida with bands such as Punjab, Permagrin, and The Bomb. He performed pyrotechnics for the country’s greatest AC/DC tribute band, Big Gun and began playing an acoustic set with his brother at the Buffalo Grille in Oak Ridge every Tuesday for two years developing a comfortable stage presence while doing live jam sessions with Homemade Dammit in the Old City of Knoxville.
<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<><<>< In 2003, Robert discovered an interest in Jazz and teamed up with accomplished artists Eric Hollander and Devon Brewer of Plan A, to make up the Jazz trio, Lewis, Brewer and Hollander and then after meeting his wife and making a decision to follow Jesus, he abandoned the bar scene for the sanctuary at Glenwood Baptist Church where he led the youth band Ebenezer for 2 years before being appointed as Music and Arts Pastor at Headwaters Church which gathers at DIVERSE CITY SKATE PARK on NEW YORK AVENUE in OAK RIDGE, TENNESSEE. He currently performs his original material as the solo act "Robert Paul Lewis" and is Lead Singer/Lead-Rhythm Guitar for the Christian (Heavy-Blues-Alternative) Band - "THESE3REMAIN" (formerly known as ELLISDEEP) with his brother James Lewis - Bass/Vocals and H.E. In 2005 Robert chose to become a follower of Jesus, and without GOD, he can do nothing. Sin doesn't leave - but we can rely on the strength of JESUS to stand up underneath it and encourage others to find the peace of GOD that is through his son, JESUS CHRIST. He feels honored to be blessed by God with the gift of music and loves to share this talent and his testimony of God’s grace with all who will listen.
