******Reading and writing, intriguing women (OK, OK: sexy, smart, funny ones!), beer, wet vodka martinis w/ olives, maduro cigars (but also Cuban Monte Cristo #2!). Also, walks, yoga, working out, swimming, playing some hoops (although I haven't played for a while, but I did coach a group of rag-tag 7-8 year-olds who were sort of like the Bad News Bears).
Exotic foods, movies, plays - even ballet (but not opera!).

Here's Morning 40 Federation performing live in New Orleans. It's a song called, "Sugar From Behind" which is a tongue-in-cheek, funny song about sexual taboos like anal sex. These guys used to get together near their Ninth Ward homes and drink a 40 ounce of malt liquor in the morning - thus the name. None of them played instruments, but they got drunk one day and decided that each one of them would learn a different instrument, and Morning 40 Federation was born! These guys are a hell of a lot of fun!

Music
Blues and traditional jazz music - really all types but I'm starting to like Latin music more but too much Zydeco gets on my nerves.
Morning 40 Federation, Louis Armstrong, Al Green, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Bix Beiderbeck, Sidney Bechet, Dr. John, Bob French, any of the Marsalis boys, Harry Connick, Jr., Cowboy Mouth and Fred LeBlanc, Troi Bechet, Jesse Moore and most of the local New Orleans music scene.

I try to use both sides of my brain - I'm a writer but also my main career is consulting in the field of enterprise content management. I've published maybe 100 articles on related subjects but just published my first book about my experience with Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath in New Orleans and also a play called "Brando, Tennessee & Me."
I like to socialize and see live music. I like hanging out with the local New Orleans writers like Dave Brinks (he holds the weekly 17 Poets reading series at the Goldmine Saloon), Andrei Codrescu, Jimmy Nolan, Brenda Marie Osbey, Lee Grue and others. I like going to Marda Burton's Literary Salon (she also has music, sometimes comedy, and always champagne) on special Sundays. I love the food and unique people in New Orleans too.
I exercise almost daily - finally back into a routine after the upending that Katrina did to everyone here.
Riding on a train or cruise ship is so much more fun than airplanes! I like the freedom to walk around & the food's good!
Below is an interview of me about my Katrina book:

People from all walks of life - I am especially drawn to artistic or humanitarian types. Musicians and singers intrigue me, as well as visual artists.
I am interested in people from all types of cultures too and enjoy talking with those who are world travelers.

Here's a real TRUE poem by Charles "Hank" Bukowski.

Here's Bukowski reading his poem, "The Night I Killed Tommy." It's pretty damn funny but maybe a little gross at the end. That's Buk!
