Come now children, and listen to the story that is Robert. Ahem. If memory serves correctly, Robert started off as Rhymes With Orange, in Chris's garage with Chris on bass, Clayton on guitar, and Victoria on drums. They wrote the first song, and that's about it. Soon, Victoria got bored and joned basketball, thus having no time for losers like us. Chris moved to drums. Eventually, after a long search, Mike was added as bass. At this point, all of sorts of songs came to be: I'm Gonna Pee On Your Couch is probably the first, then there were You Are, Your House Was Robbed, We're All Going To Hell, and the Birthday Song. But a name was needed, desperately. It took a long time, all of 20 minutes, for someone to say, "Hey how bout a real name? Like Chad!" It is guessed that this was suggested by Clayton but the truth is not known. Then chris suggested Robert and everyone agreed. And so they played. Then they decided they needed a brass section. So Ian was added as saxohone, I mean, saxamophone, I mean sexyphone. In any case, his instrument wa shiny. Chris liked it. Victoria then came back to sing. Elizabeth joined as trombone but was kicked out since she didn't actually know how to play. Several months and shows later, the band met Sam through friends at a Mustard Plug show, and the band took a liking to them. He had a beard and was, at the time, 37 years old. It was then learned that he played sax. The addition would make 6. And so here we are.
We got two great C-U shows happening this weekend, one is 18+ and the other is all-ages so there is no reason for you not to come out to one of these. Hope to see you this weekend!!!
