Even though the Joker wasn't particularly interested in bank robberies, he wanted to prove to Gotham that they had no reason to get comfortable with him in town. He also thought it'd be courteous of him to gradually ease them into the transition of kidnappings, explosions, and various other tricks that he had in store for the crumbling city.
As he continued to wire a few explosives, he pursed his lips when he heard a commotion coming from outside of the vault. Withdrawing his firearm, he practically skipped out of the safe since he was giddy and eager for a good fight. Spotting the intruder, he gave a whoop of a laugh while exclaiming, "Ooh-hoo, well if it isn't the Boy Blunder! I would've pre-ferred a nice ol' tumble with Batpoop, but I suppose you'll do for now." Drawing his gloved finger across his neck, the henchmen took the signal and raced toward Robin with their firearms raised.
Happy was the first to attack, and, in a manner that was quite unhappy, shot his arm forward with the hopes of delivering a powerful uppercut to the kid's jaw.
Chase sighed softly sitting in her office looking over a few files Commissioner Gordon for her to look at since she would be working with the Police Department to help profile some of the criminals there. Rubbing her tired eyes just a little, she slipped up from her chair stretching a little wishing that she hadn't been stuck in her office so late at night like this. "Note to self, don't stay at office late again." She said to herself. Gathering up her things, she made sure to not forget anything before leaving her office to go home and hopefully just relaxed without getting called to come check on one of her many patients she looked after on a daily bases. She slipped into her car and drove back to her apartment think it would be the last time she would need to go out again until tomorrow afternoon. Only to remember she had to drop off something for Kate at the bank since she had Chase to do it for her.
“Drop this off and head to the apartment to go gather some things before heading to Bruce’s.” She said to herself. She was going to be spend sometime with Bruce over the next few days to talk about his dreams that he had recurring over the years and was going to see what she could. Her fingers tapped the steering wheel as she drove to the bank and placed the envelope in the deposit box noticing there was robbery going on, being the curious type that she was like and decided to go see what was going on.
Batgirl laughed at him when he brought up the subject of his a pissed off ex. Tim was still young and Barbara would always think of him as her brother.
"A pissed off ex? I think you might have hit your head too hard there, Timmy."
She laughed again as she reached over to examine his head playfully. Teasing him was a high priority on her list. It would be a good day unless she did. Although Tim seemed to hate it, She knew deep down inside that he enjoyed it. Barbara had always tried to make his life as normal as possible. She knew that losing a family was the hardest thing in the World to over-come and she had seen the way Dick started to act. He sheltered himself away from the World at times and no matter how much Babs tried to help him, He just wouldn't help himself. He was too set in his ways. Tim on the other hand was not only more wise than Dick was, but he was younger. She smiled at him before reacting wildley.
"Oh my gosh, Robin!!!! You've lost some screws!!!"
Babs glanced at him as he brought up the subject of saving Batgirl.
"Please, Birdboy, That happened once."
She held up her pointer finger and brought it close to his face with a smile plastered on both of their faces.
"Oh, Come on, Robin, You know how much I love picking on you. It's just so much fun."
Batgirl laughed at him as he started to shake his head to knock his hair back into place. The best part about picking on Tim was that he always tried to beat it. Just made things more fun for Batgirl. She smiled before placing her hands on her hips.
"You know...You're lucky to have me around because if you didn't, You'd probably be locked inside of a dumpster somewhere waiting for Batman or I to come and find you."
She teased him a little bit more, waiting to see his reaction.
The cool breeze of beamed down over Dove's back, the night wind rustling the pure white feathers of her wings gently. She stretched her arms out to the sides, letting her muscles stretch as she emerged for the night, loosening her joints and almost seeming to strengthen the young anti-hero. An ever so slight breeze ruffled her feathers as she dove down towards the quiet city below, completely unaware that their skies were now occupied by someone other than the hero team, the Teen Titans which were the unspoken protectors of this city, Jump City.
Wide golden eyes took in all the silent details of the city below her, enhanced visual senses were part of her abilites. Her wings... were her most powerful asset, at least, that she'd found so far. Thanks to Brother Blood's hypnosis, Dove couldn't remember anything about her past. After being released from his Hive 'Academy' she'd made it her mission to discover whatever she could about her history, she had several hypothesies, but nothing concrete to support her theories. As far as she was concerned she wasn't under any hero or villian's jurisdiction or law... Dove was without remorse, she did what she pleased when she wanted, where she wanted, no one controlled her.
A smile pulled apart her cherry red lips, revealing the perfect white teeth of her smile. She folded her wings against her back as she dove towards the city street, her body pulling out of the dive at the last moment and skimming lightly along the pavement. Excited thrills ran down her spine, flying... her one true love. Something shiny caught her eye to the left, and she cocked her head to the side slightly. Shiny stuff... maybe not her true love, but it didn't suck. The smile pulled into a smirk.
Born from a human woman—Arella—and Demon—Trigon the Terrible—Raven habited the Earth, struggling with the darkness within her soul. The darkness grows and grows, hungry for emotion, never to be satisfied. She has tried to embrace what her mother had bestowed on her, her humanity; the one thing that prevented the annihilation of this planet, and many others. Humanity. This very darkness ran through her body, like her own blood. THIS is why she confronts the evil around her. Like asking for penance…Penance for being born into this world. Penance for her destined future. She is Raven, she is a Teen Titan, with them, it is the only place she can be herself and the only place where she could have a sense of happiness.
Alone, she levitated. Alone she levitated atop the towering Church. In profundity, she stared ahead into the distance. The soft sound of church bells echoed from beneath her. It was one of those tedious days, one of the ones you simply dread that morning. Crime, for some odd reason, remained at an all time low. Her navy blue cloak rested at her ankles as the soft zephyr blew from behind. If only this calmness would last, but no, something always came up, interrupting her hushed time. She allowed a disparaging sigh to pass her pale lips. She didn’t mind being interrupted, it’s a price she would accept and pay. A sudden scream of a horn below knocked her out of her stillness, causing her head to shoot up at the uncourteous passerby.
She had the psionic ability of empathy, causing her to suddenly feel the wave of anger flow off of the passerby and through her small body. She despised this. Every emotion someone felt around her, she would feel. Broken hearts, happiness, anger, fear, love…those were a few of the emotions she felt on a daily basis, but they weren’t her feelings, they were someone else’s. What had she done to deserve this punishment? She prayed, prayed to anyone who would listen. Despite the fact she knew her prayers have never been heard. She could use anything right now. Any crime. Any company. Any thing at the moment. Though she didn’t ant to admit it, she had absolutely no clue what city she was in. She just teleported anywhere the rip in space and time would take her, within the country limits of course.
After kicking the man in the chest, He stepped back slightly unaware of what had just happened. It was typical of men to think she wasn't capable of handling situations on her own. Especially when it came to handling herself against other men. She laughed at them on the inside. She through her right fist across the air and it slapped the guy right in the jaw. It piercd her hand, but that didn't stop nor slow her down. The man went to swing his face towards Batgirl's but she grabbed it quickly and forced it away from hers. She jumped into the air one more time and kicked his chin, hard. This startled the man so bad that he fell back and slammed his head into the concrete floor. Batgirl dusted off her hands and smiled at the guy.
"What a couple of dorks..." Babs looked over at Tim and smiled. She knew that he never needed help, but it was nice to drop in on him every once in a while and fight by his side. Tim was like her younger Brother. She didn't need to look out for him, but she did anyway. It comforted her. "I knew you were okay. I just wanted to stop by and pick on ya' for a little while." She walked over to him and wrapped her arm around his neck, bending him forward, She made a fist and rubbed it across the top of his head, messing his perfect hair. He was so much like Dick that sometimes...It wasn't even funny.
When Ella Jones was young, her parents hardly cared about her. She had to do everything on her own to take care of herself, walk to school, do her homework, clean the house, do chores and not once did her parents offer to help. Ella got sick of that by the age of 16 and decided to go off on her own and become a different person, she didn't live in Gotham before she changed. She and her parents lived in Brooklyn and once she set out on her own, she found Gotham and knew that it would be a great place for her to live. One day while living in Gotham, she went out for a walk in the dead of winter and as she was walking she slipped and fell on the ice hitting her head pretty hard, while she layed on the ice, it started to wrap itself around Ella making her entire body out of ice and that's when she decided to change her name to Icy and now that she had powers with anything that included ice, she wanted to get her parents first but she also wanted to get started on freezing New York over. She figured that she would start in Gotham and go from there.
As the clock struck 1:15am; the stars grew brighter within the darkened Gotham Sky. A shadowy figure looked up towards the Gods and saw nothing but the shimmers from the stars. Gotham was once known for its long nights out, wonderful food, and fun vacation spots for families. As the years pasted, the reputation it once had began slipping away. As Evil started roaring up in the lower parts of the City, Terror began striking on every street corner and behind every alley. The Police Departments did the best they could to protect its Citizens, but their best efforts simply weren't enough. Gotham needed a Knight on a white horse to ride in and save them from this disastrous state they were heading towards. The Citizens began to lose hope. They began to lose faith. Businesses started slipping, Good people began fading, and Terror began to grow more. When Gotham felt that they had hit their lowest, Their Knight came to the rescue.
Batman came into the night to restore The City he once grew to love. But he couldn't do it alone. After a couple years of fighting crime alone, He found partners who shared the same passion to restore Gotham just as he did. Robin; A head strong young man who was skilled in Acrobatics and who found pleasure in eliminating the evil men who caused harm to others families just as someone had once done to him. And Batgirl; A brilliant young woman who was skilled in Gymnastics and who seeked the chance to help others just as her father had done. With the strength of The Bat's they began their work in improving their beloved city to the way it once was. When Citizens weren't frightened to walk the streets alone and families weren't skeptical about taking a trip to The City and possibly returning home without the entire family.
Batgirl stood on top of Wayne Enterprise during this very dark night and glanced below her. The street was empty. As she sat down on the ledge of the building she dangled her feet over the edge.
"Well.... Looks like this is going to be a very boring night."
And with that being said, She heard a couple of people speaking that didn't sound too pleasing to Batgirl. She stepped away from the ledge and leaped to the next building top to feed her curiosity. She leaned over the ledge and saw two gentlemen standing in front of Robin. She chuckled at what Tim had said. It sounded just like him. As the men chose not to move, Batgirl knowing it was time to kick some ass jumped off the building top with a flip and landed a few feet behind them.
"We having a problem here, Boys?”
Batgirl said as she held up her fists and stood there, ready for anything they had to dish out. The men turned around rather startled. Men always had the same look on their face when they laid their eyes upon Batgirl. As one of the men started to come at her, She lowered her fists and jumped up in to the air before planting her right boot square into his chest.
